You should have completed and uploaded the prelim task by now and have most of the research complete. You should be ready to start planning work by the end of this week. ideas for magazine
title - BEATZ.
audience - mainly male 16 - 25
genre - hip-hop/r'n'b/rap.
conventions -
bold header - grey background, black and bright colours like blue, pink, yellow or orange for the title and subtitles.
Front cover -
main picture - direct address to grab the audiences attention. make the up and coming artist look attractive to make people want to know more about them.
subtitles - info about artist bigger font than the others to show they are the main feature of the mag.
smaller subtitles for the other information in the magazine.
date, price and barcode
glossy monthly mag.
Contents -
smaller pictures of the up and coming artist with features of the magazine in the contents.
and one bigger picture to make the reader want to carry on reading.
small heading so the reader understands whats, where. and a little bit of writing to explain what the pages is about.
Feature article - Big heading to dominate the page.
more smaller pictures of artist and bigger one. tell them about tours albums and single to be released.
enough information and pictures to dominate the page but not too much so that the page doesn't look over crowded.
Informal writing to be friendly with the audience but not over friendly. slang and swear words that fit with the genre.
